First and foremost, like we’re all on the same page, microdosing psilocybin (aka magic mushrooms) is the act of ingesting a very small dose of psilocybin (about 1/10th the amount that “trips”). Claimed to increase creativity, boost energy, improve overall mental health, sharpen problem-solving skills, treat anxiety and depression, and more…the list literally goes on and on.

I first heard about it through “The Vines” as the tech geniuses of Silicon Valley participated.

I let my friends eat mushrooms in high school. It scared me when they described their experiences. So I have never tried magic mushrooms and to be honest…

Until I saw firsthand how they work.About a year ago I contacted my secret facebook group Someone told me to research microdosing of psilocybin for a health issue my father was dealing with.I did, and it seemed perfect for my father. I had a friend who raved about how useful it was, so I called her, got in touch, and ordered a month’s supply for my dad.

That month I saw how it was positively affecting him. I have been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stressed and really unproductive/creatively drained lately. did.

I feel better, my productivity levels are higher, I am more creative than I have been in a while, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. rice field. I knew I needed to share this with you in detail.

& Lots of tea to spill so I went ahead and filmed whole ass VLOG EVERYTHING ABOUT MICRODOSING EXPERIENCES.

I’ve looked back on my experience with microdosing since the beginning and how it has benefited me in a positive way, and I’ve probably felt *something* and it’s the most I’ve ever been asked about microdosing. Answers all common questions (your dosage? regimen? does it make you nauseous? where do you get it? etc.).

Take a peek at the VLOG below. If you want a quick read (okay), here’s a quick summary.

*I am not a medical professional. I am not giving medical advice, just sharing my experience!*

Q. Do you stumble? do you feel anything? can you drive

No, it’s not a trip. About 1/10th of what you need for your trip. Kat wrote the article And they used the analogy of a 2cm long joint. I noticed my first dose was dramatically higher than any dose I’ve taken since, but by no means was it higher. I recommend taking the first dose because it’s a responsible practice, but I can guarantee you – it won’t make you high.

Q. Can you feel them moving or is it subtle?

As I mentioned, I felt it kick in on the first dose. I actually notice more when I’m not taking it because it makes me less productive and more anxious. I’ll explain what exactly I’ll cover in the next question, but it contains niacin and will make you flush. (feels like a sunburn) It went away after 10-20 minutes. I have less flash now. This is great, but don’t worry about flushing. Short-lived.

Q. How did you get it? Where can I get it? is it legal?

A review for me. Knowing who her husband tried, she got her info from her. I think reaching out to friends in the herbal medicine world is a good place to start a herbal medicine Facebook group in your area. I’m learning how, but it doesn’t seem too difficult.

Is it legal – federally, no. Psilocybin is considered a Schedule 1 drug after heroin. I don’t quite agree, but that’s what it is. Psilocybin has received increasing attention and has been decriminalized in Oakland (California), Denver (Colorado), Santa Cruz (California) and Cambridge (Massachusetts). As decriminalization progresses, more clinical studies can be conducted. This is great!

Q. How do you take it? What is your “dose”?

Mine is encapsulated and takes what is called a “Stamets Stack”. Paul Stamets developed his Stamets stack that combines 0.2mg psilocybin, 0.2mg niacin and 0.2mg lion’s mane. This “stacked” formula was created by Stamets for the purpose of upregulating neurogenesis (aka creating new connections in the brain).

Q. What is the microdose regimen?

We are closed for 5 days from Monday to Friday and 2 days from Saturday to Sunday. I did a lot of research and this seemed like the best fit for me. That said, some people are 2 days on and 1 day off and 1 day on and 1 off. If you drink for a day and still feel when you wake up, I recommend going with a schedule of 2 days on, 1 day off. That’s it.

Q: How long do you plan to continue microdosing and will the effects be long-lasting?

If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. This is working for me and I will continue. My understanding is that microdosing is more gradual than the dose that actually “trips”, so I take it continuously like a daily supplement. , studies have shown that the effects may last longer (i.e. should be done once every 3-4 months).

Q. Does it make me nauseous? Are there any negative side effects?

Remember that high school friend who scared you off doing psychedelics? Yes, that’s what caused them to vomit. I’m terrified of throwing up, and I can promise you – these won’t make you nauseous in the slightest. but this is offset by all the pluses.

Q. Did trying it make your anxiety worse? Thinking about it makes you anxious, right?

No! And I swear this is usually what makes me feel so uneasy. Because I didn’t want to hype myself. Popped in with morning vitamins. & continued my day. The first time I got a niacin flush, I was stunned to think there would be a reaction, but I soon learned it was normal and temporary, so I was fine. Nothing to worry about. You will feel less anxious.

Q: What benefits have you noticed?

Ok – so the best I have explained to my friends and family is this…I get overwhelmed easily. If you have too much to do, you will feel overwhelmed and freeze up instead of doing it. All your productivity goes out the window and you can’t do anything you don’t need to do (like organizing under the sink during the day). Nothing feels “too much” when taking my microdoses.

What usually bothers me, don’t do it. The to-do list is more of a challenge than a task that I fear. I was much less anxious, less reactive and emotional, and able to accomplish much more and do better than I would have if I hadn’t microdosed. HOLY SH*T would be amazing if creative, sharper, and less anxious people could feel like this in their daily lives.
