Grand Velas Los Cabos All Inclusive Resort Itinerary and Experiences

It’s been a hectic week, but I wanted to sit down and type it all out before I lost my memory. So many people are interested in learning more about what we did during our stay at Grand Velas Los Cabos and the resort itself. Even with children! It really is a piece of heaven and after this trip I couldn’t recommend it enough!! To do.

We booked this trip last minute and my amazingly kind in-laws came from Florida to see the kids. We feel so blessed to have their help. can never repay them, but we kept saying how lucky we were to have them for the entire trip. I was shocked. I always thought it would be a complicated journey, but I booked a direct flight from JFK and it took about 6.5 hours. After the big blizzard in NYC the day before, I felt like I was in a dream when I got off the plane lol!Grand Velas Los Cabos All Inclusive Resort There was a car waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and it was about 30 minutes!

Rooms / Room Options at Grand Velas Los Cabos

Wellness suite

Many people asked me which room I stayed in. Grand class corner suite. All rooms at the Grand Velas have amazing sea views.Ours was a corner room that didn’t face the pool, so it felt a little more private. I was able to take a tour of the property so I can share some other options and photos with you guys. One thing I can say with confidence is that all the rooms are gorgeous. That’s it. No one is better than the other. It depends what your needs are. This hotel is known for having really spacious rooms, they were literally the size of our house. smile! 2,000 square feet to be exact! What I loved about our room was the swimming hole and view on the terrace, the walk-in closet, the huge jacuzzi that we used every day, and my favourite, the accordion glass doors that open completely. Open air our room. We lay on the bed and felt like we were on the beach.

From our tour, I could see Two Bedroom Family Suite, perfect for traveling with children. The hotel also provides all baby amenities you may need if you are with a baby or toddler. There are high chairs, cribs, children’s toys and more. I was very impressed and wanted to come again with my children. There is also a kids club for children if they need some alone time while on vacation with the kids. We also got to tour the wellness suite. The Wellness Suite is complete with healthier options for snacks and includes daily in-room massages and fitness instruction.

our itinerary

First day:
On the first day, we checked into the hotel around 2pm. Immediately went to the pool! The pool has a swim up bar and poolside service to order food and drinks so we took advantage of that to have a few cocktails and watch the sunset from the pool. All food and drinks are included, including alcoholic beverages! On our first night we ate at PiafIt was French. I ordered the Coq a Vin and it was very good. They made a crepe for dessert right in front of us at the table!

the 2nd day:
The big plan for the second day was relaxation at the onsite Se Spa. There was a full water trip before the massage provided and it was very restorative and I really enjoyed being with Matt too! We kept giggling at the bubbles and there is also the cold plunge which he bravely did. There is a sauna, cold room and steam room and just getting off the grid and enjoying the peace of the spa is really fun After the water trip, I had a 50 minute organic blue agave massage. Afterwards, we played pool, made friends, and had dinner at one of my personal favorite restaurants. special dishIt was an 8 course meal with wine tasting. I’m usually intimidated to try chef’s menus (not the most adventurous) but every course was phenomenal! I was sad when it ended and I was tipsy with some good wine!

Third day:
On the third day, we decided to explore San Jose del Cabo. The hotel is located between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. If you want a quieter place to have lunch or coffee, San Jose del Cabo is the place to go. Cabo San Lucas felt more like a touristy, party spot.

The drive was about 30 minutes and we used Uber which we found works well in Mexico! We spent about 2 hours visiting the shops and looking at the local work of artisans. The town itself is a bit sleepy but felt like we were immersing ourselves in the local culture a bit. coffee lab I have a cute outdoor setup.

Back at Grand Velas, we headed to the beach for a sunset horseback ride that our hotel had booked for us. It cost Matt and I about $160. Neither of us had ridden a horse in years, so it was fun to experience it together.

We ate dinner that night frida restaurant, focused on Mexican food with a little twist. The guacamole was made in front of us. This was the best I have ever eaten. We also had some delicious tacos.

Day 4:
On our last day in Los Cabos, Mexico, we decided to take an Uber to Cabo San Lucas. This also took about 30 minutes. We were dropped off at the marina and found a boat from there to see the arches. Total cost was $30 and the boat ride was about an hour. Afterwards, we walked away from the marina towards a more local part of town to eat delicious tacos and pick up some Mexican candy for the kids.

On our last night we dined at Velas 10 which serves delicious steaks and seafood. I generally never order a steak and I don’t regret it at all! I didn’t take any pictures as I was immersed in my last moments at the resort.

All in all, if you’re looking for a relaxing and breathtaking beach vacation with your spouse or kids, you literally can’t go wrong with the Grand Velas Los Cabos. Luxurious all-inclusive resortBecause it’s so easy to be there and the days go by in the best possible way. It’s only been two days since he got home, and he’s already planning how to get home. Haha!
