Get this season’s 5 trendiest lip colors and looks on a budget • BUDGET FASHIONISTA

Changing your go-to lip color is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to transition your style into fall. To help you (and me) stay on trend, I asked Beauty Her influencer Laura Catron for some insight into what’s hot on lips this season and how to get the best looks for cheap. I asked.

In short, fall is the season for statement lips. We’re talking rich pigment, all-day color, and otherworldly sheen and shine. You can wear shades of brown or red, but the bolder the better.

Here’s Catron’s quote of the day on autumn lips:

One of my favorite things about fall is seeing the maroon, crimson, and scarlet tones of the environment come to life in makeup and style. A wonderfully bold lip can go from tired to elegant in one swipe.

1. vinyl lips

You’ve seen it in feeds. Vinyl lips are highly pigmented, long lasting and super glossy. It’s a beauty look popular among celebrities. After all, those rich, lustrous lips hold their own in the glitz and glamour of the red carpet.

There are vinyl-like lip colors and options in different price points. But for looks as bold as vinyl lips, it’s always best to start with a budget brand. .

Catron’s choice for affordable vinyl lips is Revlon ColorStay Satin Ink. Available in 19 delicious shades, from mauve to fiery orange. The price I am writing is $12.39. Check Today’s Prices At Walgreens Here.

I tried Revln ColorStay Satin Ink

You don’t even have to be on top to step into this trend! I tried the Revlon ColorStay Satin Ink at Partner in Crime. In Stockholm NYX Matte Lip lined his liner and topped with NYX Butter Gloss. This is a wearable interpretation of vinyl lips that last all day.

2. Brownie Glazed Lip

Hailey Beiber recently wowed TikTokkers with her “Brownie Glazed Lips.” This is a warm, shiny, three-dimensional application.

Most people don’t have full Bieber lips and amazing bone structure, and that’s okay! . Catron recommends:

  1. NYX Professional Slim Lip Pencil in Espresso.About $5 but you can Check Walgreens Current Prices Here.
  2. NYX Butter Gloss is also a $5 product that gives you a glossy finish. View NYX Butter Gloss on Walgreens.com.

3. Classic red lips

If you’re looking to get out of the mauve rut and create your own red lip style, fall is the place to go.

There are two common challenges you can face with any red lip color. First, it’s easy to pick the wrong shade. Second, a bold red lip can transfer color all over the place, from bleed-through lip blemishes to red stains on napkins and glasses. Here are Katron’s tips for a great red lip experience.

  1. For fair skin, opt for a cool blue cherry red. Otherwise, medium or tan skin will look incredible in warmer orange-reds.
  2. apply lip liner rear your lipstick. Amazing, right?

Catron likes Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayons because the color lasts and doesn’t dry out. Available at Walgreens for $10.99. Click here for price and color variations.

Two before and after photos of Catherine Bullock in trendy lip color.

The photo above shows that I tried red lipstick the “right way.” The top photo is right after application. For “Own Your Empire” he used Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayons and for Cannes he used NYX Matterliner. The liner was a little softer so it took some edge off the red and it was perfect.

The picture below is after eating the salad (large). Lighting may vary slightly from photo to photo After eating my lips were still red and shiny — and salads too! Admittedly, I lost a bit of pigment and sheen, but I was happy with the staying power of this lip color and liner combo.

4. Bold brown lips

To choose a flattering brown lip color, focus on your undertones. Catron recommends:

  • Orange undertones look warm and cozy against fair skin.
  • Grey, dusty brown colors are perfect for medium skin.
  • Peach brown and rich chocolate complement tanned skin tones.

5. The everyday brown pout

If your lips aren’t ready to be the center of attention, try this trend-nodding Katron style in this subtle style. Then use a small, flat brush to blend the lines. A shimmering gold gloss top, like Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Crystal.
