A recent glimpse into life in the backyard…
It’s been a very mild summer here on the east coast. I find myself thinking about how similar the climate is to Northern California, where I grew up. The air is a little chilly, refreshing and so much fun! This time last year it was so hot that we had to barricade ourselves indoors. Give me a cool summer breeze anytime!
With this unprecedented weather, we spend most of our time in the park across the street or in our backyard. Lucy is the perfect age to go from activity to activity for hours on end.Our latest addition to the backyard was this little one Step 2 Play houseShe loved her cousin’s stuff so much that I knew it was time. No more sore eyes in the backyard. That’s a kid’s toy problem.
I also enjoy entertainment at least once a week. From neighbors to friends coming to town for the summer, it’s a great excuse to dress up your backyard for guests to enjoy. As a major plus, the TV/playroom downstairs opens onto the backyard so it’s great for the kids to run around and play and eventually watch a movie while the parents hang out and enjoy a glass of wine. Optimal. .
With so much backyard content on our feed these days, we thought it was time to share the details behind all the pieces we have and the toys we added for Lucy. In case you missed the big backyard story, you can find all the furniture linked there.
