Fall 2022 is shaping up to be a great season.
We’re already getting hints that the athleisure-inspired comfort that has continued to thrive in the Zoom era merges with sophisticated design and cut.
We spoke with fashion director Heidi Watson. Everevea contemporary fashion retailer with over 100 brick-and-mortar stores, an online store and a fast-growing subscription box service.
“The denim silhouette continues to evolve as the 70s silhouette returns. From trouser jeans to full flares, these jeans are known for their leg-lengthening effect, and this trend can be worn with anything from oversized button-downs to casual tees. Wear a pair of shoes (short boots for the day, heels for the night) to flatter your figure.”
“Wanting to add a little edge to your everyday? Vegan leather is the way to go in your wardrobe. Trousers, top dresses and five-pocket jeans styles are all jumping into this trend. Not just night-out silhouettes.” Keep it casual with a pair of vegan pants with an easy sweater and sneakers, or make a statement with a vegan top and your favorite pair of jeans. Look for rich caramel, wine and even cream tones as the colors go beyond black.”
“The easiest way to upgrade your look is to add trousers to the mix. But these aren’t your little black work pants. They’re chic, with a nipped waist and more fluid legs.” It’s a classic pant in. It has to be versatile (dress up or down), full-length (calling all long-limbed women – this is the trend you’ve been waiting for), and it’s a great addition to your closet. Traveling this fall? These are must-haves in your suitcase.”
“Following in the footsteps of its sophisticated partner, the trouser, the blazer is fall’s go-to layer. An instant rise, it’s a trend that has endurance. Look for menswear patterns that look cool, but if this is your first time, black is a sure bet—you won’t just be tied down to the office, layer a blazer over a fitted top for a flattering silhouette, and pop your favorite pair of jeans. to complete the 1-2-3 costume.
“The Western boot trend has been slowly emerging over the past year and is gaining momentum heading into Fall 2022. You don’t need a plaid shirt and straight-leg jeans to make this trend work (but we love the look, too). Ankle height reigns supreme and the range of colors from cognac to black is particularly versatile. Please mix them up.”
