Blackpink’s LBD Rosé, ‘Capuche’ Comeback, and Other Highlights from Saint Laurent’s Spring 2023 Show
Paris Fashion Week got off to a very busy start. On Tuesday morning, we saw Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest creation for Dior. In the evening, Saint Laurent hosted Anthony Vaccarello’s runway for his Spring 2023 debut.
With the Eiffel Tower in the background, the Italian designer draws on early influences from fashion houses (such as American dancer Martha Graham, known for her 1930 choreography Lamentation) and notable silhouettes from their archives (1969 Styles from collaboration with Claude Lalanne, Spring 1985 haute couture collection, Fall 2022 haute couture line).
Models circled the Champ de Mars fountains, wearing a blend of feminine and masculine looks, donning coveted Saint Laurent styles, including sheer floor-length maxi dresses and mock neck jumpsuits. Reimagined for the new season in deep berry shades and muted colourway. They were styled with long trenches, sturdy shoulder wool coats, and cropped leather bombers.
