When I purchased my 1974 A-Frame in the Catskills in March 2021, my immediate thought was, “How can I bring more natural light into this space?” I have never had this problem in my previous home. Because we’ve always been very particular about buying or renting only homes with good natural light. I believe that natural light has a huge impact on my mood and I find it essential in my daily life. Because we were so fixated on finding a home with an A-frame roofline, we knew it could be refurbished in the future, so we were happily shaken by this gigantic necessities. We considered many ideas, such as opening it up, cutting half of the second floor and installing large windows in the front of the house, but in the end we decided to have extra space on the second floor. The addition of nine new skylights has so many benefits, but my favorites are:
