9 amazing ways to style a blazer – current boutique

How to style a blazer

Blazers are one of my favorite wardrobe staples because they are incredibly versatile and elegant. Blazers can easily dress up a casual outfit or complement a fancy one.And they’re gorgeously feminine with tailored masculine-inspired silhouettes. There’s a good reason blazers have been on every runway for the past few years. Blazers are simply the best! Today we are talking about 9 great ways to style a blazer.

The good news is that you probably already have one of these in your closet! Most women have at least one blazer of hers in her closet to use for these outfit looks, so let’s get styling!

1. A dark blazer is a closet staple

For a staple blazer, we usually recommend darker colors like black or navy. Darker colors also create a slimmer silhouette that flatters almost any body type.

But color isn’t everything. Texture and silhouette are equally important. Consider the following when choosing the perfect item for your wardrobe:

  • fabric weight (heavy, light, or in-between)
  • Color component (dark neutral, light neutral, or colorful)
  • Fit (tailored, unstructured, long, short, etc.)

For my staple pieces, I usually choose medium-weight fabrics in dark colors for a tailored, structured look. Please find.

2. Look for a bold blazer that stands out

That said, I’m a big fan of the fun standout fashion blazers. So for me, that means having more than one blazer to adorn my closet. is:

  • 1 dark blazer made of thick wool-like fabric (for winter),
  • Light fabric and dark colored blazer (for spring and autumn),
  • 1 bright colored blazer with thick fabric (Autumn/Winter),
  • Light colored blazers in airy fabrics like linen (for summer),
  • And at least one bold fashion statement blazer (like bold red or animal print).

If you can’t tell, I just adore good blazer. This piece can be worn as an outer layer or as a middle layer, and can be worn all year round! That’s why I like to pick from the few I have in my closet. If you’re like me and love having different options, especially when it comes to basic things like blazers, check out our trending collection perfect blazer(At the time of this writing, there is a Trina Turk zebra-print blazer, but it may not last long as I may buy one for myself.)

4. Wear a blazer over a mini or maxi dress

A blazer can fall in the wrong place when wearing a midi dress, but if you want to style a casual mini dress or summer maxi dress, a blazer is the way to go. was cool, but now the trend is to wear three-dimensional outerwear such as blazers. This accentuates the lines of the dress and adds an eye-catching textured silhouette. Whether it’s loose and flowing or tight and sexy, a blazer is the perfect way to complement your favorite dress .

Dress up your jumpsuit: Pair your favorite jumpsuit with a blazer.Jumpsuits are one of my favorite trends him wardrobe pieceHowever, if you wear the same thing over and over again, it can feel a little three-dimensional.

5. Turn your blazer into an overcoat

A blazer is one item that always looks great and fits in every situation. … shhh, don’t tell anyone). A navy unstructured blazer works perfectly over a white dress on a cool summer evening. Fashion Tips: Layering is everything when it comes to creating a stunning outfit.

6. Go for a trendy full suit look

Pantsuits may be out of fashion right now, but the “full suit” is trending. That is, similar but not exact. Wearing a blazer with pants or a skirt is beautiful and stylish as long as you are particular about fit and fabric. Instead, combine top and bottom fabrics, colors, and styles. This creates a dynamic outfit perfect for work, happy hour, or browsing downtown (with a mask on, of course).

I personally love the look of structured blazers paired with pencil or A-line skirts and kitten heels.

One of the trendiest ways to wear a blazer in 2021 is over a bralette.Whether buttoned up or loose, fashion blazers can dress jeans, bralettes and crop tops very elegantly. It’s as easy as pairing a navy blazer with a white blouse and beige pants, or a linen pastel blue blazer with a black dress. Be creative! If you like to make a statement but are still up for the challenge, a blazer is an easy and effective fashion choice.
